Count-Ons By Jeff Schroeder

When you're adding your math facts...with sums to 18,
Here's what's called a count-on, if you know what I mean.
You say the larger number, and count on from there;
But there's another way to learn them that I'd like to share.

Refrain:
Count-ons, they're count-ons,
You've got to learn them, you know it's wise!
Count-ons, yes count-ons,
You've just got to memorize.

8 + 6 = 14
8 + 5 = 13
8 + 4 = 12
8 + 2 = 10

Refrain

7 + 5 = 12
7 + 4 = 11
8 + 3 = 11 also
5 + 2 make 7

Refrain
